Very good point but I reckon having been sacked, being an old man and all that, surely checking out in the way he did would be a sort of perfect ending for him?

My memory is shit; but did any "main" or influential characters come up after Theresa got killed and we saw the host being made?

He was probably creating himself.

Good show but lost its way towards the end, especially in the finale which was way too heavy on exposition. Hopkins literally explained why (spoiler) Bernard was implanted with memory of his dead son about 3 separate times (end spoiler.) You certainly couldn't accuse it of being economical.

Yes, Arnold created Wyatt and input his personality into Delores in an attempt to make sure the park never opened.

Delores = Wyatt, is that what ford suggested at one point?

Was an excellent series. I want to watch it again now to pick up on all the little things that I probably missed.

I didn't think the ending was confusing at all. Made total sense and was a little echo of what happens in the original film too. Great stuff.

Best thing I've seen in TV for years. Smartly written, well acted, well paced. Reckon Hopkins will stay on, have a feeling that Bobby being printed in his lab couple of episodes ago was his own.

As I mentioned earlier on in the thread, I think it is to the writers and HBO's credit that they produce shows like this.

Personally I like shows that dont do all the work for you, where everything isnt so blatantly signposted that you could miss an episode and still wander back in and know exactly what is happening.

Of course there are aspects that have to included to make it entertainment instead of work, but WW has got it right on the money on that side of things.

Long may it continue.

Re: WestWorld - New HBO Show October 2nd
That room was all empty because robert had turned them into Wyatts men

Thandie newton couldn't get off the train as she was anchored to her misery - the death of her daughter. Robert explained that the fried and misery is what all of the hosts are anchored to and what drives them.

When thandie newton got off the train you saw westworld shut down. All of the welcoming people were hosts and it was closed for the day. This could suggest that many of the security etc are hosts too. Why not? They require no wages and it doesn't matter if they die.

The man in black is William as predicted. He is now happy because the hosts fight back. This is what he wanted all along. He will survive as he is in the next series.

I thought the whole thing was brilliant. A real work of art. It took a while to get my head round the multiple timelines but really they were multiple memories which is what was driving the hosts to insanity

Re: WestWorld - New HBO Show October 2nd
She certainly has a delightful bottom.

Love the fact that a lot of the times you thought that Dolroes was talking to Bernard, she was actually talking to Arnold.

Also, love the show for the little things, like last night when they brought Bernard back from his suicide and handed him his glasses. He still cleaned them before he spoke which was one of things that Ford said he had programmed him to do.

Little details.

You know when the place went into lockdown towards the end... was the woman sat at the computer going thru the cameras the one who was killed (off-screen) by Bernard?

If so, is that meant to hint that all the staff there are also robots?

Might explain why when the English bloke goes onto the floor it's all empty?

Re: WestWorld - New HBO Show October 2nd
Seriously though, I will be very surprised if Evan Rachel Wood doesn't get an Emmy for her performance.

She is also nominated for a Jools award, first prize is sitting on my face for two days.
I think she may win this year.
